Views on renewables differ among big oil companies

As the world gravitates towards lower emitting sources of energy, some of the larger oil companies are moving in that direction while others are conducting business as usual.

Enbridge is one company that is expanding its focus on renewables, including a new $20-million solar field that is now in operation in Alberta. Cenovus, Canadian Natural Resources and Imperial Oil are focused on gas and oil, yet are still looking to reduce their impact on the environment.

Suncor is investing in sustainable aviation fuel while TC Energy is investing in both solar and nuclear power.
